Primera entrevista a Dan Whale

Dan Whale is the English language assistant. He will be working in the school from October till the end of May.

Good morning, Dan. We are going to ask you some questions for the school magazine.

  1. Where are you from?

England, south west.

  1. What are you studying?                     

Politics at the university.

  1. Where are you studying?

In the city of Bath.

  1. Why are you here?

Because I want to learn some Spanish and some politics about different countries.

  1. Which are your hobbies?

Listening to music, watching football, going to concerts, meeting with friends.

  1. What do you like to do in your free time?

The same as before, and walking.

  1. Do you like teaching English to the students of this school?

Yes, very much. I’ve never been a teacher before.

  1. What do you do in your classes?

Have conversations with students and we do different things.

  1. Which level of English do you think that the students of this school have?

It depends on the students. Some students have a very high level.

  1. Do you think that the students are friendly when you teach English?

Yes, they are very nice.

  1. What do you like most of teaching English?

I like the grammar.

  1. Do you like this school? What differences are there with English schools?

Yes, I like it a lot. English schools are much bigger; there are much more students and more teachers.

  1. What are your plans for this year?

I’d like to travel around Spain.

  1. Do you like Catalonia? Why?

Yes, I like it. Because the people from Mora are very friendly and I like the scenery.

  1. What do you like best about Catalonia?

That is a close community: everybody knows everybody.

  1. Do you find anything shocking about our culture?

The time you eat.
